Job Information - SIL Engineering Technician

Job Duties

Overview:
We are seeking four skilled SIL Technicians to join our team. Two positions are available for mid-March and two at the end of March. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career growth in a dynamic technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cable & Harness Fabrication: Manufacture interconnecting cables and harnesses based on detailed engineering drawings.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of test bench and laboratory infrastructure equipment.

Job Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical Proficiency:
  • Ability to crimp and assemble connector contacts and cable assemblies to meet aircraft standards.
  • Proficiency in soldering according to J-STD guidelines.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting aircraft wiring diagrams, as well as mechanical drawings for metal fabrication and assemblies.
  • Familiar with using test equipment and performing troubleshooting, wiring repair, and isolation tasks.
  • Experience wiring serial data interfaces (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, RS422, RS232, Ethernet, IEEE-488).
  • Experience installing fiberoptic cabling for reflective memory hardware.
• Tool Usage & Safety:
  • Competent in the safe use of both powered and unpowered hand tools (e.g., hand drills, wire crimpers, wire strippers, soldering tools).
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) practices.
• Security Clearance:
  • Must be able to obtain a security clearance if required.
• Communication & Teamwork:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
