Responsibilities
Prepares surfaces to be painted by cleaning, masking and sanding
Applies chemical paint stripping solution with a spray gun or brush
Removes paint stripper using a pressure washer
Mix and apply primers/paints according to specifications as required
Apply topcoat
Placard installation using aircraft tech data
Stores, handles, uses and disposes of hazardous chemicals in accordance with Federal, State, and Local Environmental Protection Laws
Maintains a clean work environment for tooling and equipment
Stripe, registration, and logo layout and application from drawings and prints
Contractor Benefits/Incentive:
The A&P Technician troubleshoots, repairs, inspect sand performs maintenance on Customer aircraft. Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal parts by using products and processes which are varied but generally not complex in scope.
Must read and interpret blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications sketches, job orders, planning documents and engineering drawings. Determines equipment requirements and the method and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as graphite, fiberglass, plastic, epoxy resins, rubber and like materials.
Paint removal, metal forming, fastener use, disassembly/reassembly of mechanical components.
Corrosion removal and surface treatment.
Selects tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions and documentation of repairs
Your primary duties include:
Program is offering an assignment completion bonus of $10,000.00 (contingent upon completion/passing of training, obtaining access & 180 visits through the turnstile).
Tenured contractors are also eligible for another completion bonus at 180, 360, 540 etc. through the turnstile

This mechanic maintains repairs and modifies aircraft structures and structural components of moderate difficulty, maintains and repairs aircraft components including but not limited to flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components, applies technical knowledge of airframe and power plant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and applies required expertise in restoring equipment condition and or operation, and applies comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate to complex problems by interpreting technical documentation such as; blueprints or manufactures' manuals.
Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft repair procedures and replacement of parts, requires broad knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modifications and repair, must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records. Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.

• Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories
• Applies basic knowledge of electrical theory
• Be able to use a variety of manual hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, wire cutters, heat shrink gun, etc.
• Be able to read and interpret schematics, assembly drawings, process specifications, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, written instructions, etc.
• Be able to assemble, modify, and install wire bundles, conductors and other electrical components.
San Antonio Manufacturing Center is seeking a painter for their Emergent Paint Center.
In this role the individual work assignments that will require them to mix paint, work with chemicals and all the preparation work required to prep the parts for paint application. This position will require them to work closely with other team members so the ability to work with others and share responsibilities is a desired attribute. This position will also require the ability to search and read the specifications in the DPS, engineering drawings to complete assignments given.
