Position Summary:
Join our FAA 145 Repair Station as a Helicopter Maintenance Technician specializing in Bell aircraft. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring airworthiness, safety, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Install Bell, AA, and aftermarket kits (e.g., air conditioners, sliding doors, rescue hoists, FAST rope systems)
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Bell helicopter airframes and engines, including removal and replacement of major components
Conduct sheet metal repairs and fabricate sheet metal and composite parts as required
Troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues
Disassemble and reassemble aircraft structures for repairs and alterations
Fabricate mounting provisions for avionics installations
Prepare aircraft for post-maintenance flight tests and support test activities
Mentor and assist junior mechanics to maintain team proficiency
Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality targets
Work overtime when necessary to achieve project deadlines
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE ON HELICOPTERS.
Position Requirements:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate
Minimum of two years’ commercial helicopter maintenance experience on Bell helicopters, preferably in an FAA 145 Repair Station
Proficiency in reading and interpreting installation instructions, maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation
Strong mechanical aptitude, including precise measurement, drilling, and structural modification skills without causing damage
Ability to work independently under limited supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must own or purchase required tools for assigned tasks
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit, stand, crawl, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
Capability to stand for the duration of the shift
Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
