Job Duties

POSITION SUMMARY: The Outside Parts Sales Representative reports to the Director of Sales and is responsible for selling & coordinating the sale of over-the-counter parts to customers; operates in compliance with appropriate partnered OEM sales agreements and company safety practices; and performs other duties as assigned.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1. Utilize Contact Center Software Applications to accept phone calls, email and faxes to deliver service. (Average weekly volume is 300 per person).

2. Research: using supplier information & part numbers to determine price and availability, prepare formal quotes using inventory management software (Corridor) to supply to customers.

3. Determine payment methods: Using the data base provided, convert the formal quote into a sales order; determine method of payment, shipping requirements etc.

4. Inventory: Use inventory to procure and fill order using FIFO methods. When an alternate vendor source is used, create purchase orders, and negotiate terms acceptable to provide sufficient ROI to Summit Aviation.

5. Maintains & updates customers: Monitor and track orders from place of origin to final shipping destination, keep customers aware of status changes.

6. Provide customer service: educate customer on Products, Support Model, Warranty Terms and returns processes.

7. Operates in compliance with company safety practices: complies with and aids in the development of departmental safety rules; ensures all equipment is in good working order and operates in a safe manner; monitors area for hazards; and maintains a safe and clean work area.

8. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

 

1. Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five to seven years aviation background; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Five to seven years of experience in a sales and customer service-related field is required.

3. Must have excellent data entry and phone skills along with a positive attitude.

4. Must be able to multi-task under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.

5. Must have strong attention for detail.

6. Must be able to focus on key tasks and prioritize duties.

7. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Knowledge of Corridor operating software preferred but not required.

8. Must have strong written and communication skills.

9. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

10. Must have good MS Office skills.

11. Strong proficiency in Excel require
