Job Duties

 Performs the following duties, and other related activities as assigned.

           Assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test and/or verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and            aerospace specifications.

  • Must demonstrate competencies necessary to meet business requirements.
  • May perform as a member of a functional and/or cross- functional team.
  • Duties include assembly, disassembly, re-assembly, fabrication, screen, repair, adjustment, test and/or verification of complex electronic, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and structural systems in accordance with common military, commercial, and aerospace specifications.
  • Typical systems include avionics, missiles, weapons controls, aircraft armament, bomb racks, launchers and associated equipment. Electrical duties may include, but are not limited to, removal and installation of components, connectors, and wiring into cabinets, chassis, and console type assemblies.
  • Mechanical duties include, but are not limited to, removal, installation, and adjustment of mechanical parts to precise tolerances.
  • Structural duties may include, but are not limited to, light machining, sheet-metal work, drilling, riveting, and airframe repairs.

Job Qualifications

EDUCATION REQUIRED: High School degree or GED equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Must be able to perform duties using pneumatic tools, electric tools, hand tools, and precision measuring equipment. May perform informal, in-process checks on manufactured or processed items to assist authorized formal inspection and/or test personnel in determining product validation or assist other related job classifications when directed.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED: Must be able to read, interpret and analyze engineering drawings, production planning and other technical documents, as well as possess extensive knowledge of the varied and complex electronic, electro-mechanical and/or optical equipment/system(s) involved.
