The Logistician reports to the Logistics Manager and is responsible for the receipt, storage, distribution, and shipment of U.S. Government and Boeing property; operates in compliance with company safety practices and performs other duties as assigned.

Skills & Responsibilities
Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one to three years of prior shipping, receiving and warehouse experience required. Previous or current Fork Lift Operator certification is preferred.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address multiple priorities effectively and efficiently.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully an individual should have the ability to interact with and enter data into spreadsheet software.
Vehicle Experience: To safely operate or have the ability to learn how to safely operate Power Lift Trucks and Tow motors, as necessary.
Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to work effectively and contribute in a team environment and self-direct work.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to sit; walk, talk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to wet or humid conditions, outdoor weather conditions such as extreme cold and heat, work near moving mechanical parts and vibration and work in high, precarious places. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals and work with explosives. The noise level in the work environment falls within acceptable limits of OSHA guidelines.
