Job Duties

Maintain F-18 E/F Aircraft electrical and power plant systems, including power generation, conversion, and distribution. Perform Aircraft Operational checks with Engines, APU, and or external power applied. Working knowledge of automatic flight control, Communication, Navigation, and RADAR Systems to include testing and trouble shooting. Testing, installing, and maintaining a wide range of aircraft instruments and electrical equipment like generators, motors, and Avionic system components. Use a variety of electrical measuring equipment and Aircraft test equipment.

Perform organizational level maintenance on aviation systems, to include: communications, RADAR, navigation, electronic warfare, data link, fire control, and tactical displays with associated equipment. Troubleshoot various discrepancies with the use of multimeters and avionics test equipment to locate faults within the aircraft. Fault Isolation, MSP, FADEC, BLIN and RADAR BOA codes. Perform servicing of all fuel, pneumatic, hydraulic, and LCS systems.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible to work any shift
  • 3+ years experience

Job requirements:

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of aircraft electrical component troubleshooting, repair procedures and replacement of parts
  • Requires broad knowledge of aircraft repair
  • Must have thorough knowledge of electrical theory
  • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, and bond meters.
  • This job requires working knowledge of technical publications.
  • The incumbent receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks, and may be required to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.nefit of the company, program, or employee(s).
