Job Duties

Strom Aviation is looking for qualified Avionics Mechanics in Duluth, Minnesota.  

Client is looking for Avionics Technicians to perform troubleshooting, repairs and needed installs on A320 aircraft.

Type of Aircraft: Commercial  Airbus, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, will also consider Military Transport Aircraft such as C-130, C-17, C-5 or C-141

Longevity: Long Term

Type of Work Environment: MRO, Climate Controlled


We are looking for candidates that have a minimum of 3 year of recent related experience.

Need to be experienced Avionics Technicians with 3+ years of Commercial, Regional or Civilian Aircraft Experience, will also consider Military Transport Aircraft such as C-130, C-17, C-5, or C-141

Job Duties

  • Installing and modifying systems and troubleshooting systems check out and continuity check for wire integrity.
  • Troubleshooting and repair and installing mod’s to the a/c and systems, with systems checkouts
  • Avionics troubleshooting and repairs, including reading schematics and wiring prints, repairing or replacing cannon plugs, replacing pins, replacing terminal ends, repairing broken wires, using multimeters to check for voltage and resistance, repairing and returning to service the many navigation and radio and instrument systems

Job Qualifications

Tools Required: YES

Years' Experience Required: 3+ years aircraft avionics experience

License Requirements: FAA A&P certificate is preferred, but not required.

Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Specific Aircraft Experience Required: Should have Commercial Experience, will consider Military Transport experience as well ie C-130, C-17, C-5 or C-141.

  •  6 support shops
  • 188,000 square feet 
  • Accommodates up to 4 narrow-body aircraft
  • Specialization in Airbus and Boeing narrow-body airframes
