Bio

I joined the Strom Aviation family in July 2015 and it was one of the best moves of my life. I have met so many great people and I love what I do. Assisting people has always been a way of life for me and I can't imagine doing anything else. At Strom, you are not only a team member, but a family member. The employees at Strom have made me feel welcomed and appreciated which is a great feeling. At Strom, your future is our future.

I retired from the State of Pennsylvania after almost 18 years of service and moved to Arizona in May for the weather (best decision of my life!). I started out as a psychiatric aide in a state mental hospital then transferred to the local Welfare office where I eventually worked my way up to Administrative Assistant.

I have a daughter who is a teacher in MN, a son who is in high school and lives in Pennsylvania, and a spoiled rotten beagle named Abigail (Abby) who is still trying to acclimate to life in AZ.

I have a bucket list of things to do and places to see which includes visiting every state in the US. I have to actually DO something there (driving through the state does not count) to cross the state off my list. So far I have visited AZ, CT, IN, LA, MO, MN, NV, NY, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, and Washington DC. I enjoy watching the sunrise while I walk Abby in the morning and am in LOVE with the scenery here. I can't think of a better place to be.

Attached you will find site specific reporting instructions pertaining to your first day, as well as other important information regarding your upcoming employment with Strom Aviation at Sycamore Aviation Recycling.

Please be sure to bring your Driver’s License and A&P License (if applicable)
Please be sure to bring your original documentation for your I-9, whether it be a Driver’s License, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Passport, Passport Card, Permanent resident card, etc.

Please remember to text me upon your arrival the first day so I can log you in to get paid. You will need to come by my office (the entrance is the double doors by the smoking area) anytime before the end of your lunch to complete some paperwork.

Please remember to keep your contact information updated with me as I correspond with employees via email and cell phone frequently. You can text or email me any changes ASAP.

Tool Boxes will be unloaded at AeroTurbine while you report to work daily at the Terminal by LuxAir. Make sure to get with Alisa for the time and location.

Steel toed boots are required for wear each day while on assignment.
