Job Information - Structural Design

Job Duties

Apply knowledge of engineering and physical science principles, materials, and tools in a collaborative environment to develop, integrate, document and evaluate flight vehicle structure designs for performance, functional adequacy, cost effectiveness, manufacturability, and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Areas of expertise may include primary and secondary structure design, payloads design, weights, and lofting.

Job Qualifications

2+ years of Experience Required

• The candidate must be proficient in the use of CATIA V5 or V6 tools. 
• Proficiency with classical stress analysis techniques is also required. 
• A.B.S. degree in an appropriate engineering discipline (aerospace, mechanical, or civil) from an accredited university is required.  
• Knowledge of fatigue and damage tolerance methods in composite analysis is desirable but not required.
• The candidates are expected to perform as individual contributors, so lead experience is not required, but beneficial.

Facility Description

Our client is one of the world’s largest non-OEM designers and manufacturers of aerostructures for commercial and defense aircraft.  The company’s core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components. Additionally, they provide maintenance, repair and overhaul services.

As one of the world’s largest tier-one manufacturers and suppliers of aerostructures, they apply research and emerging technologies in designing, fabricating, assembling and integrating components and structures for premier commercial and defense aerospace programs
