Job Duties

• The tech would receive a written work order and drawings from the preliminary inspector. 
• Tech would receive pulled replacement parts if needed from the parts room. 
• Tech would then be required to interpret work order and drawing to cut the called-out seat belt webbing from the work order and drawing in pieces that would be used to make the seat belt to conform to the work order and drawing. 
• Pull thread from the work order and drawing requirements. 
• Prepare sewing machine with the thread.  Put the parts on the webbing and sew. 
• Some sewing machines have patterns programed some machines are manual straight-line stitching. 
• Do a final check to the work order and drawing to assure it matches.  Send to final inspection inspectors. 

Job Qualifications

- high school diploma or GED

- 1 year experience of sewing "we need someone that knows how to run the sewing machines"
