Job Duties
- Assist and coordinate FAI activities.
- Resolve CAMs issues related to FAIs.
- Create and track First Article Requirement Records (FARR).
- Provide reports and status updates as requested.
- Plan and schedule large-scale FAI projects.
- Conduct plan reviews to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
Quality Engineering Support:
- Collaborate with manufacturing Value Stream (VS) teams to reduce defects.
- Analyze and prepare metrics for VS teams.
- Assist with determining facility containment strategies.
Continuous Improvement and Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a liaison between Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, Engineering, and Production Engineering organizations to drive continuous improvement.
- Support Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) projects.
- Identify opportunities to engage the workforce in building quality into products.
- Maintain a balance between compliance to requirements and continuous process improvement.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of policies and procedures.
- Develop and enhance soft skills by collaborating with:
- Plant Managers, shop floor personnel, and Value Stream Managers (VSM) across multiple facilities (e.g., FTW, Ozark).
- Liaison Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and DCMA.
Job Qualifications
- Continuous Improvement/Green Belt certification preferred.
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) training preferred.
- CATIA training preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
- 3 to 5 years of aviation experience preferred.
- Familiarity with client systems (ENOVIA, SAP, QlikView, etc.) preferred.
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in an aviation-related or technical field is preferred.
