Job Duties

  • Confirm that all maintenance and repair tasks are performed using approved procedures, techniques, and standards outlined in manufacturer manuals, FAA regulations, bulletins, directives, and any other FAA-authorized data.
  • Organize and oversee the workflow in the assigned shop or department to reduce downtime while improving efficiency and output.
  • Verify that all maintenance actions strictly comply with manufacturer instructions and 14 CFR Part 43.
  • Take all reasonable measures to safeguard components, subassemblies, assemblies, and completed units from damage or loss.
  • Ensure all repair station forms are accurately filled out and maintained.
  • Promote and maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment at all times.
  • Confirm that proper tools and equipment are available, remain serviceable, and remove any defective tools from circulation.
  • Ensure shop facilities and safety protocols meet requirements.
  • Oversee proper handling, storage, and preservation of parts and assemblies throughout the maintenance process.
  • Stay fully knowledgeable of the repair station manual, FAA rules and guidance, manufacturer bulletins, service letters, engineering instructions, and airworthiness directives.
  • Maintain clear communication with lead technicians regarding the progress of assigned tasks.
  • Carry out inspections, repairs, and modifications on both airframes and powerplants.
  • Remove, disassemble, replace, and reinstall defective parts, followed by system testing.
  • Read and apply information from technical drawings, manuals, and blueprints.
  • Ensure all discrepancies are documented with full details, including part numbers, references, and applicable ATA chapters.
  • Demonstrate and encourage a positive and professional work attitude.
  • Leverage technical expertise and experience to support timely project completion, adherence to schedules, and delivery of expected quality standards.
  • Make sure all safety protocols are followed and personal protective equipment is properly used when required to prevent injuries or health risks.
  • Recognize and address employee concerns; escalate to management when necessary.

Job Qualifications

  • Three or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate (Preferred).
  • Three or more years demonstrated experience in aircraft maintenance inspections and repairs.
  • Strong understanding in 135 and 145 repair station operations/regulations required.
