We are seeking a skilled Airframe and Powerplant Technician with strong experience in small general aviation aircraft (Cessna, Beechcraft, Piper, and Robinson Helicopters). The ideal candidate will be capable of diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing engine and electrical system issues with minimal supervision, while adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.
Perform 100-Hour Inspections on reciprocating engines and general aviation aircraft, including:
Compression testing
Oil changes and filter checks
Engine inspections
Airframe opening, inspection, lubrication, wheel bearing service, and closing procedures
Diagnose and repair engine-related issues independently, creating effective solutions.
Diagnose and repair aircraft electrical charging systems in a timely manner.
Operate and properly use essential tools, including voltmeters and torque wrenches.
Ensure quality assurance by self-checking work and coordinating peer double-checks for safety.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Manage time effectively to complete projects within deadlines.
FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (required).
Strong hands-on experience with general aviation aircraft maintenance.
Inspector Authorization (IA) is a plus, but not required.
Experience with reciprocating engines is essential.
Robinson Helicopter experience preferred, but not required.
Completion of Robinson Factory Maintenance School training is a bonus.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in varying conditions, including West Texas weather (heat, cold, and hangar/flight line environments).
Physically able to stand for long periods.
Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate or work independently.
